hi all

being recently obcessed with doing better photos and looking into natural, fresh and instant kind of shots, i want to buy on old film cam that can gives me speep automatic focus with good quality lences, everything transportable in my little pockets. I followed the advises from a photographer friend and went to a 2hand shop down xietu lu and found those two very nice toys !!!

Technical Details
- High-quality 35mm compact camera with handsome titanium body
- High-speed Leica Summarit 40mm lens (f/2.4)
- Automatic exposure or aperture priority (preselected aperture setting)
- Manual or automatic focusing from 28 inches to infinity
- Automatic lens protection cap
The Leica Minilux is a topnotch 35mm compact camera that boasts an extremely attractive and durable titanium housing combined with a high-speed Summarit 40mm lens. The Minilux is a little heavier than most compact cameras, and is intended for the serious-minded amateur photographer who insists on the very best. It offers an aperture priority mode, allowing you to manually set the aperture before shooting your picture (the camera will automatically choose the shutter speed). The Minilux also features either automatic or manual focusing. The exposure meter is center-weighted for precise metering, and the built-in flash fires automatically in low light. This camera is guaranteed to net you impressive results and last nearly a lifetime.

nik35ti-2.jpg
- Nikkor 35mm f/2.8 quality lens
- Classic, no-frills appearance with titanium body - lightweight, yet strong, solid and anti-corrosive
- Analog display system with watch-like appearance
- 3D Matrix Metering with new 6-segment Matrix Sensor
- Programmed Auto [P] and Aperture-Priority Auto [A] modes
- Built-in Panorama (13 x 36mm) mode
- Custom functions
- One 3V CR123A (or DL123) lithium battery

The nikon seems obviously more efficient because of the 3D matric metering and matric sensor… but it also quite expensive, 3400 RMB against 2000 for the leica !
any advise please !!!!!

sulumi - from game boy to electro music

Monday, September 24th, 2007

good day all

today wanted to share a new discovery:

sulumi is a beijing artist who suprised me a lot during my week end in the capital city early this month. Sunday night just after NIN, was going to the antidote party organized by friend micheal and heard about this strange guy who is doing music only using game boys… at first i was expecting something really strange and quite basic but once i heard it from the garden of 2 kolegas, i ran inside and danced for 1 hour… i was completely absorbed by the perfect usage of the 8bit machine ! sulumi is probably one of the best local chinese artist i have seen in china, please check for yourself on his myspace page:

good day all….

i wanted to share with you the work of a Danish artist called Peter Cellesen. Is minimal work on white paper is very creative and gives us the impression that you need much to alter things from the simple state of everyday object to an special creative object. I am curious how would you qualified this kind of art? I would name it minimal art ….tracesinsnow1_sune_web.jpg

trent is still a god

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

who was expecting that …. 7 years after seeing nine inch nails for the first time, they are back in front of my eyes and it was simply incredible, the intensity and atomsphere have changed towards a more mature and hypnotic approach of live music…

trent & tim
trent & me 2 hours before the show

after two days of borring festival and average music, everybody was just waint for this, around 8.30, the dark color of the stage were mixed with some white mystic foam and suddenly all went black again and the first note came, ”the end is he beginning“ was starting…

As soon as the first lights came toghether with the sounds, we understood that the quality of the show is going to be much better that anything we have seen during this beijing week end ! After 10 minutes, when trent was just about to start march of the pigs, he looked at the VIP front space where everybody was sitting down surrounded by local police and said” common get the fuck up and lets fuck it ….” and that was it, the highly controled area that was so securily watched for 2 days, just stood up and got crazy, just led by the power of one band’s music… After leading us through some furious oldy, ( gave up, heresy, colser ), trent and his band took us to an electronic part with a wild panoramic screen throuwing uncontrolable dots of colours giving us the imporession of flying in this world of beats and rock !

it was just 1 and half hours of madness where i was in a second state - probably in the top ten of best concerts and god knows how long is the list … more photos to follow !
