yesterday, together with a friend of mine we’ve decided to go and discover this wonderfull peace of architecture. the shanghai oriental art center (上海东方艺术中心）which is located downtown Pudong Disctrict on the cross road of ciji avenue and dingxiang road.

The french architecte Paul Andreu’s pieace is made by an exterior of glass mainly and looks like a giant flower. For more specific views and explanation please check out this page.

We had the pleasure to go there for a perfomance of Asian Youth Orchectra of 3 peaces, Sibelius, one concerto for Violoncelle from Tchaikovsky and the 1st Symphony of Brams. The concerto for Violoncielle was a particular success with the participation of solo player from Korea.

The design of the inside is as original as the outside with the seats located as on differentent petals of one big flowers. The acoustic is quite good and the experience was amizing ! If you have the chance to pass by i recommend this unique place !
